The suppliers
During the selection of suppliers of raw materials, Fiorini International is very careful in taking into due account the environment.
The main paper supplier of Fiorini International is Upm-Kymmene Corporation, a global leader in paper and forestry, especially careful to carry out their work responsibly. The Company neither cuts nor accepts wood from protected forests. On its own initiative, UPM has put in a state of protection and conservation 22,000 hectares of its own forests originally destined to commercial use.
This commitment is confirmed by the numerous certifications obtained from UPM-Kymmene Corporation, such as the European Eco-label, (a European brand created in 1992 in order to identify products and services with low environmental impact); PEFC Certification (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) and FSC Certification ( Forest Stewardship Council) which certify the respect of the Chain of Custody Certification (CoC) on all paper produced by UPM in their various plants.
The production process
Fiorini International undertakes all actions during production that lead to minimizing the environmental impact, both in respect of its production process and the final products that enter the market. Waste material, 100% recyclable, will be reused by paper mills for the production of recycled paper.
Printing is made with water based inks to prevent the emission of pollutants or harmful substances into the atmosphere.
Fiorini International is one of the founding members of COMIECO (National Cooperative for the Re-utilization and Recycling of cellulose packaging) and is also registered to CONAI (National Cooperative of Packaging).
